Woman Accused of Taking Juveniles on Three County Egging Spree; 35 Dozen Eggs Allegedly Purchased with Access Card

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a Punxsutawney woman has been charged with corruption of minors and related charges concerning an incident that occurred in Jefferson, Indiana, and Clearfield Counties.

Police say between 10:00 p.m. on November 17 and 10:00 a.m. on November 18, 2012, 36-year-old Erica M. Huey, of Punxsutawney, allegedly allowed five male juveniles to purchase 35 dozen of eggs from WalMart on her access card.

According to police, Huey and the juveniles then allegedly drove around to various areas listed below, throwing eggs at vehicles and residences.

Jefferson County – McCalmont Township; Young Township; Perry Township; Big Run Boro; Sykesville Boro; Reynoldsville Boro; and Punxsutawney Boro

Indiana County – Canoe Township; Banks Township; Montgomery Township; and Burnside Boro

Clearfield County – DuBois City and Sandy Township

There were 28 various victims throughout the areas.

Charges were filed with District Court 54-3-01, District Judge Douglas Chambers for the following offenses:

Erica Huey: 6 counts of corruption of minors, M1; 2 counts of Criminal Mischief, M3; and 54 counts of S Criminal Mischief.

The five juveniles were charged through the Jefferson County Juvenile Justice system for the following charges: 10 counts of Criminal Mischief, M3, and 270 counts of S Criminal Mischief.
