According to police, around 8:03 a.m. on January 9, 48-year-old Geraldine L. Hadden, of Punxsutawney, was traveling east on Elderberry Hill Road and lost control of her 2001 Ford Ranger on the ice-covered roadway.
Police say the vehicle traveled off the west berm and struck a tree with its left front side, then traveled approximately three feet east before coming to a final rest facing east.
Jefferson County EMS transported Hadden to Punxsutawney Hospital ER for treatment of moderate injuries.
She was using a seat belt.
Lindsay and Central Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
