Punxsutawney Woman Jailed on Possession of 90 ‘Stamp Bags’ of Heroin, Other Drugs

Police CarPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) –Police arrested a 27-year-old Punxsutawney woman after she was allegedly in possession of 90 stamp bags of heroin and other drug paraphernalia.

According to court documents, on September 3, Ashley R. Vega, 27, of Punxsutawney, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver 90 stamp bags of heroin, 9 Clonazepam pills, and 19 Alprazolam pills.

Court documents state, Vega was also charged with simple possession of the same drugs, documents indicate.

A vehicle she was riding in was stopped, and she was allegedly found to be in possession of the above drugs, court documents indicate.

Vega was arraigned by District Judge Douglas Chambers on September 3 with bail set at $200,000.00.

She was placed in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of posting bail pending further court action.
