Punxsutawney’s ‘Home for the Holidays’ Parade Set for November 29

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A evening of festivities is scheduled for November 29 in Punxsutawney.

The following schedule of events are planned for Saturday, November 29:

6:00 p.m. – The “Home for the Holidays” Parade, sponsored by the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce, will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Mahoning Street.

Cookies and cocoa with Santa will be held at the Eagles following the parade.

The Punxsutawney Rotary Club “Circle of Trees” Light-up Night will also be held in Barclay Square after the parade.

7:00 p.m. – The Wildcat Regiment Band is performing at the Jefferson County Courthouse at 7:00 p.m. Authentic Civil War instruments and music will be featured. Adults $10.00 and Students $5.00, children (12 and Under) free. Tickets will be available at the door.

8:00 p.m. – An Animal Shelter Benefit will be held at the Punxsutawney Moose Club from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. A $3.00 donation is requested. Bring a cat or dog treat and enjoy acoustic entertainment.
