PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club’s Inner Circle recently welcomed their newest member Dan McGinley, “Moonlight,” as former member Tom Uberti, “The Big Windmaker,” stepped down.

McGinley, a native of Oakmont, Pa., is a Clarion University graduate. He is currently employed with Howard Hanna-Allemang Realty in Punxsutawney as a realtor and appraiser.
McGinley is no stranger to Groundhog Day as he has participated in many Groundhog Club events and activities over the years. For the past few years, he has been assisting Inner Circle member Dave Gigliotti, “The Thunder Conductor,” with the stage talent on Groundhog Day.
His favorite part of the Groundhog Day festivities each year is Phil’s prediction. He also enjoys taking Phil through the streets of Pittsburgh for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
McGinley is married to Punxsutawney native Maryl Roberts McGinley with whom he has a daughter named Daley and another child on the way.
