Upon arrival, police discovered that 38-year-old Robert P. Bark of Punxsutawney, allegedly assaulted a known female. He allegedly pushed her to the couch, slapped her, and kicked her in the leg, according to police.
Police say the victim was able to get free, and as she attempted to run from him, she was allegedly pushed down to the ground from behind. Bark then allegedly restrained her to the floor by holding her by the neck. She was able to get free from him, went to the neighbor’s house, and called the police.
Bark was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail, according to police.
Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Douglas Robert Chambers’s office.
According to court documents, bail was set at $25,000.00 unsecured.
Bark faces the following offenses:
- Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 1
- Unlawful Restraint/ Serious Bodily Injury, Misdemeanor 1
- Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
