Punxsy Man Allegedly Strikes Victim in Face Multiple Times During Altercation

handcuffsPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Punxsutawney man has been charged with harassment following an incident that occurred on Pine Street, in Punxsutawney Borough, Jefferson County.

On December 11, Punxsutawney Borough Police received a complaint concerning a physical altercation that allegedly occurred between two men at a business at the above described location.

According to police, a 47-year-old man reported that “58-year-old Benjamin Cook, of Punxsutawney, struck him multiple times in the face, shoved him, and ripped his shirt.”

A citation was filed on January 11 in Magistrate Chambers’ office for a summary offense of Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact.

According to court documents, the case is Active – Awaiting Plea.
