Punxsy Man Arrested in Connection with Canoe Twp. Burglary

CANOE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an arrest was made yesterday in connection with a September 21 burglary in Canoe Township, Indiana County.

According to police, sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on September 21, 39-year-old Daniel J. Marana, of Punxsutawney, entered a residence on Central Street and removed a black fireproof Sentry safe and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Police say the safe contained a 9mm Hi-Point Luger pistol, cash, and bullets.

Marana was arrested on October 4 in connections with the incident, according to police.
