YOUNG TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police have filed multiple charges against a 24-year-old Punxsutawney man in connection with a Sunday morning crash in Young Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. when Patrick A. Meckley failed to negotiate a left turn while traveling east on State Route 310 just north of Carrie Road.

Meckley and a male passenger both escaped injury.

Police subsequently filed the following charges against Meckley:

– Immediate notice of accident to police department

– Driving on right side of roadway
– Driving on roadways laned for traffic

Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Douglas R. Chambers’ Office.
