Police say around 3:30 p.m. on January 4, the homeowner – 75-year-old William Huntington – was working on a vehicle inside a garage on his property. While using a cutting torch to cut through the right rear quarter panel on the vehicle, the torch ignited the interior of the vehicle.

The estimated damage totaled $20,000.00.

The homeowner has insurance, police say.
