Punxsy Police Participating in ‘No-Shave November’

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police Officers are participating in ‘No-Shave November.” Officers who opt not to shave for the month of November will donate a turkey to a needy family in Punxsutawney Borough.

A few Borough Council members also pledged to donate a turkey.

If anyone else in Punxsutawney would like to assist with obtaining turkeys, the act of kindness would be appreciated.

Anyone who knows a family in Punxsutawney Borough that could be assisted during this time, contact Chief James Borza at 814-938-6220.

Once a list of names is received, all turkeys that are collected will be distributed on Friday, November 20.

Chief Borza says he “believes wholeheartedly in taking pride in the community policing and making Punxsutawney Borough a great community to live and take care of its neighbors.”
