Punxsy Woman Accused of Taking Vehicle, Failing to Pay Towing Company After Vehicle Towed from Business Property

PUNXSUTAWNEY BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Charges have been filed against a Punxsy woman who reportedly took her vehicle back from a towing company without paying after her vehicle was towed from where she illegally parked it between two businesses in Punxsutawney.

Court documents indicate the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 42-year-old Holly Marie Neely, of Punxsutawney.

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:04 a.m. on October 11, Punxsutawney Borough Police were called to a business on West Mahoning Street for a report of a vehicle parked on their property.

Police then found a white Kia Sorento on the yard between two buildings on West Mahoning Street and obtained the vehicle’s information, which reportedly indicated the vehicle was registered to Holly Neely.

According to the complaint, police then determined that Neely drove her vehicle across one business’s parking lot and down an embankment and parked between the buildings.

The complaint indicates video surveillance footage showed Neely exiting her vehicle and leaving the area on foot around 6:00 a.m.

Police then contacted an area towing company to tow the vehicle from the property.

On October 21, police received a call from the same area towing company advising that Neely entered their business and removed her vehicle from the parking lot sometime after midnight.

According to the complaint, the business representative told police a mechanic at the business then saw the vehicle parked in front of Neely’s residence while he was on his way to work.

The complaint notes the representative from the business reported that Neely did not make any payment for the vehicle towing service.

One count of second-degree misdemeanor Theft Of Services-Acquisition Of Service was filed against Neely through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock’s office on October 21.

A preliminary hearing for the case has not yet been scheduled.
