Punxsy Woman Awaits Preliminary Hearing on Burglary, Aggravated Assault Charges

gavelREYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Punxsutawney woman has been accused of felony burglary, aggravated assault, and related charges stemming from an incident that occurred on April 27 in the borough of Reynoldsville, Jefferson County.

According to court documents, on April 27, the Reynoldsville Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 39-year-old Willene Polly Aikens, of Punxsutawney.

She was arraigned at 3:10 p.m. on April 27 in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana on the following charges:

– Burglary – Overnight Accommodation, Person Present, Felony 1
– Criminal Trespass-Enter Structure, Felony 3
– Aggravated Assault, Felony 1
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Disorderly Conduct Engage In Fighting, Misdemeanor 3
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
– Criminal Mischief – Damage Property (two counts)

She was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail after failing to post $10,000.00 monetary bail; however, on April 29, a bail bond was posted by a professional bondsman from DuBois.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9:15 a.m. on May 12 with Judge Inzana presiding.
