Police report Dominick Sharp, of Punxsutawney, came to the borough police station on August 29 to report an incident of harassment.
It was determined later the incident did not occur, and Sharp then allegedly admitted his prior statements were false, police say.
Sharp was subsequently arrested for unsworn falsification to authorities and making false reports to law enforcement.
