Randee Kohler

Randee O. Kohler, 68, of 212 Elk Avenue in Johnsonburg, died Tuesday evening, January 5, 2016 at Bradford Regional Health Center.

Born October 7, 1947 in Port Allegany, he was the son of Otto and Helen Edwards Kohler. On August 9, 2003, he married Mary Dow, who survives.

After his service in the U.S. Navy in Japan during the Vietnam War, he worked at Dressers Mfg., was a truck driver for Seneca Precast, and worked in maintenance Lebanon (Pa.) College.

A Boy Scout leader for many years, Randee enjoyed woodworking, especially in the making of wooden trains.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, David (Lori) Kohler of Harrisburg, N.C. and Daniel Kohler of Bradford; a sister, Leanna (Bill) Schleicher of Kane; a stepdaughter, Robin Gross of Olean, N.Y., and a stepson, Shawn Haggerty of Norwich, N.Y. Six grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by brothers Mickey and Darcey Kohler.

Friends may call from 10:00 until 11:00 on Saturday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home in Kane, at which time a service will be held there with the rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the Mt. Jewett – Hazel Hurst United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment will follow in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be made to a church or charity of three donor’s choice.
