Raymond R. Dolby

Raymond R DolbyRaymond R. Dolby, of Corsica died at his home on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at the age of 74.

Born July 12, 1941 in Limestone, PA, he was the son of the late Roy James and Abigail Cyphert Dolby.

Ray was a veteran serving with the US Army.  He worked as a coal miner for a number of years until the mine closed.  He became a truck driver until he retired in 2015.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Brookville Firemen’s Club.  He enjoyed hunting, playing pool and spending time with friends and family.

Raymond is survived by two sons, Kevin “Sharon” Cole of Virginia, and Ron “Michele” Dolby of Ambridge, PA; a daughter Michele “Jason” Shrecengost of New Bethlehem, PA; his children’s mother, Linda Dolby of Florida; a brother Ken “Sharon” Dolby of New Jersey, Three sisters, Jackie Clinger and Bonnie Fitzsimmons both of Summerville, and Florence VanCamp of New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Courtney, Kevin, Kyle, Casey, Kennedy, Madison, and Zak; four great-grandchildren, Megrah, Cadence, Aria, and Ayden, and his significant other Judy Hess of Corsica, PA.

Along with his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by a son Brian, a brother, Ralph, and a sister, Wilda Huff.

His family will receive friends on Thursday March 17, 2016 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the Furlong Funeral Home, (www.furlongfuneralhome.com), Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville, PA.
