Raymond “Sam” Samuel Harbison

Raymond “Sam” Samuel Harbison, 81, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2018, after a short stay in the McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA.

Sam was born on June 17, 1937, to the late James C. and Myrtle M. (Bargerstock) Harbison, in Natrona Heights, PA. He graduated from Har-Brack High School with the class of 1955.

On February 14, 1985, Sam married Donna Lee (Jurcenko) Harbison in Reynoldsville, PA; Donna survives him.

He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army. He held positions with the Department of Parks, as a Park Manager, at Harrison Hills Park. He was a member of the Armstrong Lodge #239, in Freeport, PA, New Castle Consistory and a past member of the Reynoldsville Gospel Center where he served as a Deacon. More recently Sam and Donna have attended the Roseville Independent Chapel in Roseville, PA.

In addition to his wife Donna, Sam is survived by three sons; Kevin Paul Harbison, Keith James Harbison, Kurt John Harbison; two daughters; Karen Sue McFarland, Kathlene Moore; two step-sons; James Thomas McKee, Kevin Allen Kahle; and one sister; Linda “Lou” Micholas.

In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by one step-son; Kenneth Lee Kahle.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 5, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Roseville Independent Chapel, 3598 US-322, Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will immediately follow the viewing, beginning at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Jim Fillhart & Pastor John Thomas; full military honors will be rendered at the service. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
