REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The Jefferson County Federation of Sportsmen will host the 22nd Annual Youth Field Day on Saturday, June 11, at Reynlow Park, just outside Reynoldsville.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.
Lunch will be provided.
Area youth from the ages of 6 to 17 are eligible to participate. Participants do not need to be from Jefferson County.
They will learn about safety in the outdoors sports, including canoeing, archery, the shooting sports, and other demonstrations.
The big event of the day is the drawing for several rifles, Pheasants Forever Youth Hunts, a shotgun provided by Wild Turkey Federation, and other prizes.
Registration is still open. About 40 spots remain.
There is no charge for the event.
To sign up, go the Pa. Game Commission website at pgc.pa.gov. Then, click on Information and Resources; then, click on Get Involved. Then, click on Youth Programs and Youth Days Registration. Scroll down to the find the event, then, click on it To Register.
