Registration Open for Overdose Prevention Training Class

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT) – Registration is open for Overdose Prevention Training with Naloxone Training Administration and Distribution.

The event is slated to be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the New Bethlehem Fire Hall.

The Overdose Prevention Project provides training on Overdose Prevention & Response to individuals at risk of drug overdose. The project is also geared towards staff of agencies who work with individuals at risk and other individuals, family, and friends, who might be present at the scene of an overdose and might be in a position to save someone’s life.

Training provides practical information about:

  • ways to reduce the risk of overdose
  • how to identify symptoms of an overdose
  • what to do (and what NOT to do) if you are present when someone overdoses

The trainer for the event is listed as “Overdose Prevention Project, Prevention Point Pittsburgh”.

The event is sponsored by Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission and the Clarion County District Attorney’s Office.

Those interested can RSVP by calling 814-226-6350.
