Report: Four Counties in Region Among Ten Poorest in PA

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A recent report lists several counties in our region – including Jefferson County – among the ten poorest in the state.

The report says it bases its data on per capita income statistics in the county from 2010 census data and 2006-2010 community surveys.

It lists Jefferson County as the tenth poorest in the state ($20,305) and Clarion County is ninth ($20,259).

Nearby Clearfield County is seventh ($20,142).

Forest County takes the top spot ($14,325) as the poorest county in the entire state.
