Reynoldsville Golf Day Raises $5000

REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Reynoldsville Golf Day continued to build on past successes as the annual event surpassed last year’s donation.

The event raises money for five organizations. This year, each one will receive $1000. Money went to the Reynoldsville Falcons, the C.G. Johnson Elementary School PTA, the Arc of Jefferson and Clearfield Counties organization (Camp Friendship), the Reynoldsville Youth Soccer Association, and the Western Pennsylvania Cares for Kids organization.

“It was a great, great year,” Frank Snyder, the event’s co-chair, said in a press release.

When Snyder and his son, Jeremy, took over the decades-old event, they decided to give the money they raised to children in the community. The amount raised has increased over the past five years. Last year the event raised $3300, and the money was split evenly between the Reynoldsville Pool, the Reynoldsville-Sykesville Girl Scouts, and the Reynoldsville Boy Scouts.

The 2019 event, held at Beechwoods Golf Course, drew 112 participants. Checks were presented to representatives of each organization at a ceremony held on October 2 at the Reynoldsville Fire Hall.

“We can’t thank our sponsors and participants enough for what we were able to accomplish this year,” Snyder said.
