Reynoldsville Man Jailed After Firing Gun at Clarion University Housing Complex

kyle-craig-mugCLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County man is behind bars after allegedly firing a gun at a Clarion University housing complex early Tuesday morning.

“This morning an incident took place on Grouse Lane in Reinhard Village where a non-student inadvertently discharged a handgun. The University Police have finished their investigation, and the guest is in the Clarion County Jail,” said a Clarion University official in a statement issued Tuesday.

Kyle Henry Craig – whose 21st birthday was Tuesday – was arraigned in front of District Magistrate Duane Quinn on the following charges:

  • Discharge of a Firearm Into a Occupied Structure, Felony 3
  • Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License, Felony 3
  • Terroristic Threats With Intention To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1, (two counts)
  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2, (two counts)
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2, (two counts)
  • Criminal Mischief – Damage Property, Misdemeanor 3

He was lodged in the Clarion County Jail after failing to post $75,000.00 cash bail.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on April 18 with Judge Quinn presiding.

No one was injured in the incident, according to a Clarion University spokesperson.
