Reynoldsville Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash; Flown to UPMC-Altoona

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville man suffered major injuries following a motorcycle crash on Desire Street, south of Oak Drive, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County on April 1.

Punxsutawney-based State Police say the accident happened around 7:23 p.m. on Tuesday when a 1975 Harley-Davidson operated by 47-year-old Arthur Hicks, of Reynoldsville, applied a hard brake and lost control of his motorcycle.

The motorcycle then impacted with the asphalt surface traveling down the roadway with Hicks pinned underneath the bike.

Hicks was not wearing a helmet and suffered major injuries.

He was flown by Stat Medivac to UPMC- Altoona.

Sykesville Fire Company; Big Run Fire Company; Sykesville Ambulance; and STAT Medivac assisted at the scene.
