Reynoldsville Red, White, and Blueberry Festival Set for July 7-10

6:29:16 blueberriesREYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Reynoldsville’s Third Annual Red, White, and Blueberry Festival kicks off Thursday, July 7, and runs through Sunday, July 10.

The Reynoldsville Community Association hosts the event, which is mainly centered in the downtown area, but also with events nearby. There will be town-wide yard sales Thursday through Saturday.

One of the highlights will be the flag ceremony and retirement of used flags at the post office with the American Legion and Boy Scout Troop 72 at noon Saturday.

Thursday, July 7

3 p.m. – The Reynoldsville Public Library hosts its annual author’s luncheon at the Foundry. Chris Rodell, a Latrobe author, will talk about his book “Use all of the Crayons! The Colorful Guide to Simple Human Happiness.” Tickets are $25 and include presentation, meal, and an autographed book. Call 814-653-9471 for reservations.

Friday, July 8

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. – Yard sale at Christian Missionary Alliance Church to benefit Reynoldsville kids.

10 a.m.-5 p.m. – Rummage sale at Eagles 540 Auxiliary

5-8 p.m. – Elk burgers at the Elk’s Lodge

6 p.m. – Hot dog eating contest at Sarah’s Soft Serve

6:30 p.m. – Firemen’s Bingo

Saturday, July 9

8 a.m.-2 p.m. – Trolley rides from the Foundry to Blueberry Hill Farm and Maxim’s Berry Farm

8-11 a.m. – Blueberry pancake breakfast at the Foundry, $5, $2 for kids, 6 and under

8 a.m.-2 p.m. – Air soft rifle competition for kids at Wendy’s Wigwam

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. – Yard sale at Christian Missionary Alliance Church to benefit Reynoldsville kids.

9 a.m.-noon – Sidewalk chalk art contest

10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Craft and vendor fair

10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Rummage sale at Eagles 540 Auxiliary

10 a.m.-4 p.m. – St. Marys Church bake sale

10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Children’s make your own telescope with Jefferson-Clarion Head Start/Early Head Start

10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Children’s games at Peddler’s Mall

Noon – Flag ceremony and retirement of used flags at post office with American Legion and Boy Scout Troop 72

1-3 p.m. – Book signing with Diana Farley of Brookville, “The Road Back to Hell” at Carriage House Creations

1-7 p.m. – Free swim at Reynoldsville Pool

1 p.m. – Summer safety with Reynoldsville Police at the pool

1:30 p.m. – Children’s Bike Parade at pool

1:30 p.m. – Bake-off judging at the Foundry

3:30 p.m. – Baking Awards and auction at Fifth Street stage

3:45 p.m. – Reynoldsville Community Association Scholarship Presentations on Fifth Street Stage

4 p.m. – Children’s Blueberry Pie Eating Contest, in front of Reynoldsville Historical Society museum

6-9 p.m. – Free concert with American Standard at Main Street stage

9:45 p.m. – Fireworks at the Ballfield

Sunday, July 10

10:30 a.m. – Church in the Park at the Pavilion, Fourth Street and Deitz Alley

11:30 a.m. – Free ice cream sundaes at the Pavilion

12-5 p.m. – Craft and Vendor Fair

12-5 p.m. – Air soft rifle competition at Wendy’s Wigwam

12:30-3:30 p.m. – Trolley rides from the Foundry to Blueberry Hill Farm and Maxim’s Berry Farm

1-4 p.m. – Historical Costume Photo Booth at Historical Society

1-4 p.m. – Bluegrass concert, main stage on Fifth Street

5:30 p.m. – Reynoldsville Vacation Bible School at First United Methodist Church, dinner included

6 p.m. – Bingo at St. Marys
