Reynoldsville Teen, Passenger Escape Injuries in Rollover Crash in Winslow Township

Blue flashing sirens of police car during the roadblock in the cWINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on Saxon Hill Road, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 7:39 p.m. on February 25, a 17-year-old, Reynoldsville male was traveling east on Saxon Hill Road in a 2002 Chevrolet. He swerved to avoid deer on the roadway and lost control of the car while negotiating a left curve.

The car subsequently exited the south side of the road, hit an embankment, and overturned, police say.

No airbags were deployed.

The teen driver and his passenger – 19-year-old Louis C. Vitarelli, of Reynoldsville – were using seat belts and were not injured.

The car sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene by Jewell’s Auto Repair.
