Reynoldsville Woman Loses Control of Vehicle; Slams into Utility Pole

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to DuBois-based State Police, a one-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 322, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on February 19 as Katie E. Rodgers, 22, of Reynoldsville, was traveling west on SR 322.

While negotiating a left-hand curve, the tires of Rodgers’ 2007 Honda CR-V crossed the center line into the eastbound lane, according to police.

Rodgers over-corrected causing her to lose control of the vehicle, police say.

The CR-V began to spin counter-clockwise for approximately 25 feet before traveling off the roadway onto the northern berm. The vehicle then slammed into a utility pole with its right front end, according to police. .

After impact, the vehicle traveled in an eastern direction for approximately 20 feet to the intersection of Vo-Tech Road where it came to a final rest.

According to police, Rodgers was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.

She was cited with a traffic violation.
