Richard L. Fait, II

Richard L. Fait, II, 72, of Punxsutawney, PA passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois surrounded by his loving family.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (Wolfe); his two daughters, Richelle and Marc Koromaus, Kristi Anderson and Philip, his grandson, Max Lease Koromaus, all of Punxsutawney, his sister Marlene Schmalz and husband Armin of Kingston, PA; a nephew A.J. Schmalz and wife Alyssa of Philadelphia, PA and a niece Marlene Reiger of Liberal, KS. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard L. Fait and Mildred Hagel (Fait); a sister Patricia Blake.

Richard was born August 15th, 1945 in McKeesport, PA. He was a 1963 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Clairton, PA, he then attended Clarion University where he then went on to attended Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS) and graduated with honors in 1968. After graduation from PIMS he began his 45+yr career as a funeral director. He also made many friends over the 37yrs while working at Treasure Lake.

In addition to his career as owner and director of the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Richard was a member of the Punxsutawney Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder; 50yr member of John W. Jenks Lodge 534 of Free and Accepted Masons, Past Master 1975, served as secretary for years after and on the scholarship committee; member and Captain of Fire Police for Central Vol. Fire Dept.

Richard went to be with the lord while surrounded by his loving family after a short stay in the hospital. He will be remembered as the owner of his funeral home, but most importantly a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather.

All arrangements are under the direction of Leo Nedza Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday January 13, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church with Pastor James Pond officiating. Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery.
