Richard P. Thwing, age 87, formerly of Old Portage Road, Emporium, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
He was born July, 3, 1934 in Willoughby, OH, the son of the late Perry and Ilda (Buchner) Thwing.
Dick was a veteran of the United States Army having served as a Military Policeman.
On June 4, 1958 in Cumberland, MD he married Violet Rinehuls who proceeded him in death on December 8, 2000.
Dick worked at Corning Manufacturing in Port Allegheny form many years and enjoyed hunting with his sons.
He is survived by 2 sons (Brian Thwing and Rick Thwing and his wife Amy, both of Emporium, PA), 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation.
A private family funeral service will be held.
