Richard “Rick” Collier

Richard “Rick” Collier, 30, of Freeport passed away September 27 at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born June 1, 1985, in Butler.

His parents were Steven “Wedge” Collier and his fiancee Lulu and Cindy (Lockwood) Collier.

Mr. Collier graduated from Karns City High School, and worked for the Shields Paving Company.

Rick was the most loving and most devoted husband to his only true love, Lindsay (Huet) Collier with whom he just celebrated their first wedding anniversary Sept. 6, 2015.

He was the most generous, caring, giving friend to anyone who even came in contact with him. His love for life, people and friendship will never be forgotten.

He loved spending time with Lindsay, his family and friends, and working on his motorcycle.

Rick leaves behind his parents; his paternal grandparents, Steven and Joyce Collier; his brother, Matthew “Matt” Collier; his best friend and fraternal twin brother, Robert “Rob” Collier and his girlfriend, Kirstie Price, of Bruin; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, “Norma Jean” Morris and grandfather Richard “Dick” Morris.

He will always be remembered as a great friend to everyone.

The family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. September 29 at the Mantini Funeral Home, located at 701 Sixth Ave in Ford City.

A prayer service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. September 30 at the Christ Prince of Peace Parish with the Rev. Alan Groto officiating.

Interment will take place at the Temple Cemetery, Hazen.
