SARVER, Pa. (EYT) – After a month of rainy Fridays, Lernerville Speedway finally enjoyed some dry weather this past Friday as Fab 4 racing returned to the Sarver oval.

The modified feature came down to the final laps when Mat Williams over took Jeremiah Shingledecker for the win. Wayne Carbo won the sportsman night cap, his first win since 2011.

Sharon Speedway experienced perfect weather on Saturday for their biggest show of the season. A strong field of cars and a big crowd were on hand for the 7th annual Lou Blaney Memorial. In one of the closest finishes in track history Sheldon Haudenschild bested Ryan Smith by just .021 seconds to score the 10,000 All-Star Circuit of Champions feature victory.

The win was Haudenschild’s third of the season and the biggest of his career. Caleb Helms, series point leader Dale Blaney, and Andrew Palker rounded out the top five. Haudenschild also became the seventh different winners in seven races.

Lou Blaney was a great sprint car driver but is known as one of the best modified drivers of all time so it was only fitting BRP big block modified tour shared the card for the evening. The modifieds didn’t disappoint as Jim Weller drove a great race to get by Rex King Jr in the closing laps and hold on for the big win. Weller, like Haudenschild became the 7th different winner of the event.
