Ridgway Man Escapes Injury in Winslow Township Hit-and-Run Crash

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Dubois-based State Police say a hit-and-run accident occurred on May 2 around 9:30 p.m. on Point View Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police say Steven A. Frampton, 21, of Ridgway, was traveling eastbound on T-475, west of First Avenue in a 2001 Volkswagen GTI on Point View Road when for unknown reasons, left the lane of travel, crossed over the eastbound shoulder, and struck a Verizon utility pole with its right front.

After impact, the vehicle continued traveling in a southeasterly direction before coming to rest in a large dirt pull off area.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured.

Frampton was issued a citation for several traffic violations.

No other information was released.
