Robert A. Hynds

OI1113705555_HyndsPhoto[1]Robert A. Hynds age 89 currently a resident at Brookside Assisted Living (A life long Granville Road Brockway resident) died on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Brookside in Brookville.

Born in Coal Glen, PA on June 6, 1926, he was the son of the late Sandy Alexander and Helen Brownlee Hynds.

On October 23, 1948 he was married to Etta Mae Calhoun and she survives. Robert was a self-employed contract rural milk hauler (tanker) for Milk Inc. for many years. He also worked for V.T. Smith Dairy of DuBois and at Brockway Ford. He was Methodist by faith.

Robert enjoyed golfing, bowling and all sports. He had great fun playing Super Nintendo games with his grandchildren.

He especially enjoyed being with his family. He was a lifetime member of the Brockway Vol. Hose Company, member of the Central District Vol. Fireman Association, member of the A.A.R.P. and was a former member at Scottish Heights Golf Club.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter Jackie (Glenn) Kuhar of Brockport and a son Robert L. (Lou Anne) Hynds of Brockway and brother Dale Hynds also of Brockway.

He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers Pfc. E. LeRoy Hynds and Richard C. Hynds.

There will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Temple Cemetery at Hazen.
