Robert “Bob” Paul Ward Sr., 79, of Falls Creek, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, while a patient of Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in DuBois, PA.
Bob was born on March 22, 1944, to the late Edward and Rena (Reitz) Ward in DuBois.
He graduated from Brockway Area High School with the Class of 1962.
Bob married the love of his life, Shirley Mae Heitzenrater on September 7, 1963, in New Jersey; Shirley survives him.
Bob worked at Brockway Press Metals for over 30 years.
After retirement, he worked for Net Shape for a couple of years.
Bob was an avid archery shooter and was a member of the DuBois Archery Club.
He loved golfing and bowling and he excelled at both sports in his younger years.
He enjoyed woodworking and doing body work on vehicles.
During his retirement, he loved taking his cars to car shows, where he won many trophies.
Bob was a trickster and always had a good joke to put a smile on anyone’s face.
Bob will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and community.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his son; Robert Paul Ward Jr.; granddaughter; Jeanna Porrin; three great – grandchildren; one great – great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in passing by his son; William Ward; two brothers; John Ward and Ed Ward; and two sisters; Mary Sue Craig and Kae Swarmer.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
A funeral service will be held, also at the funeral home, on Monday, April 3, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. and officiated by Pastor David Nagele.
Interment will take place at Beechwoods Cemetery, Jefferson Co., PA.
