Robert Dominick Baker

Robert Dominick Baker, 75, of Rossiter, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 18, 1946, a son of the late Richard Samuel Baker and Roslyn Santa (Sckfidy) Baker.

Mr. Baker was a retired United States Army Veteran as an operator/mechanic of Army Jeeps and Tankers during the Vietnam Era.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Sagamore and was a member of the Rossiter American Legion post #0582.

Bob was the husband of Dorothy Ann White. He is fondly remembered for the way he loved and took care of Dorothy.

After retirement from the Army, he was an over the road truck driver for many years.

His enjoyments were putting models together, going to the races, traveling and taking vacations. He liked to play pool and golf in his free time.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, he is survived by four children, Kristy Briggs and husband John of Syracuse, New York, Raymond “Butch” Neal and wife Billie Jo of Punxsutawney, Walter Neal of Rossiter, Robert Neal and wife Brandi of Rossiter; seven grandchildren, Emmie Briggs, Brett Neal, Rhainnon Neal, Brycen Neal, Tori Neal, Miranda Neal, and Makensey Neal; six great grandchildren; one sister, Debbie Vogel and husband Dave of Allentown; and one brother, Dennis Ralph Baker.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Rossiter American Legion.
