Robert E. Magill

Robert E. Magill, 89, of Cloe-Church St. Punxsutawney, Pa. formerly of Brookville, Pa., passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Mulberry Square, Punxsutawney, Pa.

Born on March 23, 1924, Baxter, Pa., he was the son of Mary Magill McMillen.

He was married to Frances Komonczi, who survives.

He was a WWII veteran, US Army Co B 202nd Engineer Combat Battalion, 5 Major Campaigns in the European Theater.

He worked as a supervisor for United Electric in DuBois, Pa. for 38 years.

He was Fire Chief for the Brookville Fire Dept. for 18 years and one of the original founders of the Brookville Fireman’s Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, William Magill of Alexander, Va. and Robert Magill of Litiz, Pa.; two step-sons William Lucas (Betty) of Mayport, Pa. and Douglas Lucas (Charity) of Hazen, Pa.; three step-daughters, Sherry Adumuni (Sam) of Taylorsville, NC, DeAnna Galloway (Jerry) of Brookville, Pa., and Kim Lucas (friend – Rick Winters) of DuBois, Pa.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Hagg in 1993.

Visitation hours are on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at McKinney Funeral Home with The Rev. Harold “Butch” Brunner officiating.

Interment will be at Jefferson Cemetery in Clover Twp., Jefferson Co., Pa. (Baxter).
