Robert Emil “Crunch” Johnson age 74, of Brockport was welcomed into his eternal home on November 9th, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Bob was born in Johnstown, PA on November 15th, 1946.
His parents were the late Emil and Betty Johnson. He is also preceded in death by twin sisters Merrilee and Merrilou.
He is survived by his wife Ginger Johnson of 37 years, son David Johnson and Claudette Monroy-Johnson of Washington DC, son Matthew Johnson and Abigail Weber of DuBois, and sister Ruth McKelvey of Cupertino, CA.
Bob attended Richland High School in Johnstown, PA.
He had a wonderful gift of sketching and drawing which led him to the Pittsburgh Art Institute.
From there, Bob held several art design jobs at Brockway Glass, Sekula Signs, and his own company Crunch Studios. Later he worked as a driver for Pro Chem Tech, Minns Gas, and Moore Propane.
One of his favorite jobs was driving school bus for Morellis Bus Lines of Brockway taking his sons to and from band competitions so he could support them.
His hobbies included listening to oldies, antique car clubs with Priscilla, attending meetings of the Improved Order of Redmen, oil painting, hunting, reading, and computer games. It brought him great joy spending time with his family.
Bob was a member of Lanes Mills United Methodist Church where he served as Lay Leader, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and communion steward.
There will be no public visitation.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11 AM from the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew Verner officiating.
