Robert “Gerald” Brocious, 87, of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Brocious was born May 17, 1927 in Dayton, a son of the late Robert M. and Elva H. (Himes) Brocious.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife Dollie Ann (Kerner) Brocious on January 3, 2003.
He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
Gerald enjoyed baseball games and his granddog; Jackson.
He is survived by his son; Douglas G. Brocious and wife Julie , daughters; Lorrie Jo Brocious and Krista M. Brocious all of Punxsutawney, brother; Terry Brocious of Dayton, sisters; Clair Deamer and husband Rick of Ohio, Linda Bugay and husband John, Peggy Blose and husband Kip all of Dayton, grandchildren; Brittany Brocious of Virginia and Jade Brocious of Colorado.
In addition to his wife Dollie, he is preceded in death by his son; Dennis Scott Brocious, brothers; Richard, Merle, Dwight and Wayne Brocious and a sister; Velma Hartman.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday, April 24, 2015 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastors Scot & Tammie Pifer officiating.
Interment is private for family.
