Robert L. “Bob” Good

Robert L. “Bob” Good, 84, of Church Avenue Brockway, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Highland View Health Care in Brockway.

Born on September 12, 1933, in Sanborn, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred Edison and Velma Esther Baughman Good.

On August 17, 1954, he was married to Margaret Susan Lockey and she preceded him in death on May 25, 1997.

Bob was a graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School. He was the Pennsylvania State Champion Wrestler for Philipsburg High School in 1951 in the 165 pound class. He and his brother Joe are still the only State Champion brothers from Philipsburg.

Retired, he had been employed as a Supervisor/Journeyman Lineman for Penelec for most of his life, and he also poured concrete for 15 years. He was a member of the Moorhead United Methodist Church.

Bob enjoyed hunting and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his ability to fix anything and the great hunting stories he could tell.

He was the last remaining member of his immediate family.

He is survived by his four daughters: Ava Koch of Sigel, PA; Annette (Rick) Liddle of Brockport, PA; Carrie Good and Kim (Bob) Grecco of Brockway; six grandchildren: Brooke (Chad) Whitehill, Bobby (Megan) Liddle, Brittany (Joe) Antonuccio, Brock Grecco, Cole Grecco, and Paige Grecco; as well as by seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by three brothers: Alfred “Joe”, Duane, and Donald Good, as well as a sister, Kathryn Couturiaux.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, May 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Trask officiating. Burial will follow in the Baughman Cemetery at Sanborn, PA.

Memorial donations may be made to any one of the Church’s in Brockway that specifically participate in the Senior Meal Program: the Brockway Presbyterian Church, Moorhead United Methodist Church or St. Tobias Catholic Church or memorials may also be made to the Smile Train.
