Robert L. “Bob” Horner

Horner RobertRobert L. “Bob” Horner, 64, of Rockton, passed away suddenly July 3, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born on November 13, 1950 in Helvetia, the son of the late Glenn and Mildred C. (Scott) Horner. On July 3, 2004 he married Carol (Harris) Horner.

He had been a truck driver for McCauley Trucking until his retirement in 2013.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, playing his guitar and spending time outdoors.

Survived by his wife, a son Matthew Horner of Falls Creek, three daughters: Rhonda Dressler of Falls Creek, Jodie Fotta of Sykesville and Mary Sayers and her husband Mark of DuBois, two step daughters: Tracy Brooks and Kimberly O’Rourke both of DuBois, seven grandchildren and six step grandchildren; two brothers: John “Jack” Horner and his wife Bonnie of DuBois, Glenn “Buzz” Horner and his wife Sharon of Sykesville; three sisters: Barbara Schuckers and her husband Gary of Emerickville, Marcia Alanskas of DuBois and Connie Sickeri and her husband Louis “Sonny” of DuBois; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a sister Audrey Horner.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Pastor Brian Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, July 7 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10:00am until the hour of service on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
