Ronald Allen Stubbs

OI1292448602_StubbsphotoRonald Allen Stubbs, age 56 of Tracy Way Brockway, Pa., died on October 14, 2014 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Born on October 9, 1958 in DuBois, he graduated from Brockway Area High School in 1976.

The first 27 years of his working life were spent as a laborer for Motion Control in Ridgway. He then attended DuBois Business College and became a college graduate at age 44. He then went to work for Innovative Sintered Metals as a shipping clerk.

Throughout his life he enjoyed a wide range of hobbies including skipping school to play cards, fishing, hunting, coin collecting, bowling, and golfing. He was a die-hard Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Pirates fan no matter how disappointing the season. He was kind-hearted, humorous, low-key, sugar-coated nothing (especially his daughters’ cooking) and heroic as the family protector from bugs, birds, and boys.

He is survived by his three little monkeys, Lee Ann Stubbs (Brennan Phillips) of Pittsburgh, Deanna Stubbs, Jessica (Stephen) Arthurs, and girlfriend Mary Gardner all of Brockway. He is also survived by the best mom he ever had, Ella Mae, loving father Ronald both of Brockway, warm-hearted brother Kelvin (Sherry) Stubbs of DuBois, and his favorite pair of 40 year old red sneakers.

He is preceded in death by infant brother Edward Joseph.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday October 18th at 11am at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home in Brockway, with Rev. Terry Felt officiating.

Burial will take place in Beechwoods Cemetery in Falls Creek. Memorial Donations can be made to Stand Up 2 Cancer.
