Ronald Clyde “Ron” Brundridge, 81, of Clearfield, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at his home with his wife by his side.
Mr. Brundridge was born June 2, 1939 at home in Penfield, the son of James and Carrie (Marsh) Brundridge.
He was a graduate of Huston Township High School, class of 1957.
Ron retired as a manager/supervisor from United Refineries (Kwik-Fill) in 2002 after 32 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked part time for WAL MART in the meat department.
He was a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Brundridge was a member of the Mt. Joy United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Clearfield Moose, Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars F. Michael Sicks Post No. 1785.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, watching birds, going for country rides, cooking, working crossword puzzles, spending time with his family and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Sherry K. (Hudson) Brundridge, whom he married June 28, 1997 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, a son, Randy A. Brundridge and his wife Julie of Penfield, two grandchildren; Scott Brundridge and Kari Straub and her husband Jordan, six great grandchildren; Abby, Lilly, Olivia, Knox, Emmalyn and Bowen, his sister, Ruth Brundridge Scanish of Penfield and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Brenda O. (Cutler) Brundridge on June 21, 1990 and a granddaughter, Nicole Brundridge.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Leonard officiating.
Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Clearfield Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
