Rossiter Man Accused of Child Sex Assault Sentenced to One to Three Years in State Prison

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A 44-year-old Rossiter man who pleaded guilty to charges related to the sexual assault of an underage girl has been sentenced in Jefferson County Court.

According to court documents, 44-year-old Christopher A. Larson, of Rossiter, pleaded guilty on July 19 in the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas to Corruption of a Minor and Child Endangerment, both first-degree misdemeanors.

President Judge John Foradora sentenced Larson to serve one to three years in state prison on the child endangerment plea and five years probation on the corruption of minors plea.

Larson is not allowed to have any contact with the victims or minors and may not consume alcohol.

Larson must also attend and successfully complete the Project Point of Light program, an approved Sex Offender Treatment Program.

Larson must comply with the special sexual offender conditions dealing with unsupervised contact with minors, notification of employers and sexual partners, pornography, internet access, approval of residence.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint filed by Punxsutawney Borough Police Officer Andrekovich, on February 15, the victim was interviewed at Western Pa. Cares for Kids about the alleged sexual abuse.

The victim told the interviewer that the incident occurred on November 1, 2016, at Beyer Avenue apartments in Punxsutawney.

According to the victim, Larson allegedly “wrestled around” and got on top of her before allegedly proceeding to touch her genitals for several minutes.

Larson has previously served time for child endangerment and furnishing alcohol to a minor in Jefferson County.
