BANKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an assault occurred on Wells Drive, in Rossiter, Banks Township, Indiana County.
Around 8:00 p.m. on January 5, PSP Punxsutawney responded to the above location for a report of an assault.
Police say 55-year-old Steven Elvy Wells, Sr., of Rossiter, allegedly subjected a known, Rossiter woman to “unwanted physical contact.”
Wells was arraigned at 8:25 a.m. on January 8 in front of Magisterial District Judge Jennifer J. Rega.
He faces the following charges:
- Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
- Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
Bail, which was set at $5,000.00 monetary, was posted by a Professional Bondsman.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on January 20 with Judge Rega presiding.
