Russell J. “Mounzie” Peace, 48 of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
Russell was born October 5, 1967 in Sugar Hill, PA., a son of the late Ira C. and Stella G. (Smail) Peace.
He enjoyed biking, swimming and long walks with his son Tucker.
He is survived by one son; Tucker Harkleroad-Peace and one daughter; Heather Peace both of Punxsutawney, friend; Mandy Harkleroad, mother of Tucker also of Punxsutawney, one granddaughter; Isabella Freedline, four brothers; Ira C. Peace III and wife Regina, Randy Peace, Simon Peace and wife Peggy, Larry Peace and wife Tammy, eight sisters; Fran Magill and friend Ron, Estella Heeman and husband George, Gloria Kunselman and friend Bo, Debra Laney and husband Charles, Melody Brumbaugh and friend Bill, Charolette Brown and husband Kie, Regina Peace, Lesa Hancock and husband Tim, thirty three nieces and nephews, sixty eight great nieces and nephews, twenty seven great-great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great nephew.
Friends will be received from 1pm until 3 pm Friday, December 18, 2015 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 3 pm with Pastor Rob Robertson officiating.
