Ruthann S. Cochran

Ruthann S. Cochran, 86, Weedville, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014.

Born April 18, 1928 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Ruth M. (Roy) Sinclair.

She married Richard O. Cochran in January 1947 in Indiana, PA. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1982.

Ruthann graduated from Indiana High School and attended the Pennsylvania College for Women in Chatham, PA for two years. She retired from JoAnn Fabrics. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Force, PA. In addition, she was a member of the Eastern Star in DuBois where she was a past Worthy Matron.

She is survived by three children, David (Leora) Cochran of Folkston, Georgia, Carol (Bob) Kness of Reynoldsville, and Robert Cochran of DuBois; six grandchildren, Dawn, Bonnie, Becky, Lance, Samantha, and Richard; five great-grandchildren; a niece, Suzy; and two nephews, Hugh and Andrew. She is also survived by her very close friend, Mary Gutowski of Weedville. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, George Sinclair.
