BELLEFONTE, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney’s Samantha Griebel, representing the West Central District, won the Pennsylvania Elks Hoop Shoot Competition March 3 in Bellefonte.

It is the second time in three years Griebel has won the state title, as she went on to win the national championship in 2016.
Samantha will next compete at the Regional Hoop Shoot competing against the best shooter from New York and New Jersey.
It continues a family tradition for the Griebels as her sister Danielle was the 2015 state champion. Danielle nearly took the title this year but fell short.
