Samuel Anthony Gresock

Samuel Anthony Gresock, 77 of Punxsutawney, passed away Wednesday, December 16,2015 at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.

Mr.Gresock was born February 13,1938 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Hardick) Gresock.

He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Bosak) Gresock.

Sam was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Vietnam era and was involved in the Missile of October.

He was a member of SS. Cosmas & Damian Catholic Church and also a graduate of SSCD School with the Class of 1956.

Sam was retired from the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was the owner of the 310 Bar and Grille and loved gardening, telling stories and a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.

He is survived by two brothers; Nick Gresock and wife Barb of Punxsutawney and Steve Gresock and wife Marian of Flushing, MI., a sister in law; Martha Gresock of Flint, MI., a special niece; Julie Mondi and husband Frank of Punxsutawney along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is preceded in death by two sons; Stephen and Samuel Gresock, two brothers; John and Gabriel Gresock and six sisters; Agnes Sitko, Celestine Fleckenstein, Ethel Kolodick, Anna Mary, Thecla and Olga Gresock.

Friends will be received from 11-12:30 pm, Saturday, December 19, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 pm Saturday at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Catholic Church with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Rock Hill Memorial Gardens, Rock Hill, S. Carolina.
