Samuel D. Alsbaugh

6cda0c3b-eab5-4cfe-b2a3-3a19c9aba624[1]Samuel D. Alsbaugh, age 68, of DuBois, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Penn Highlands-DuBois.

He was born on May 22, 1947 in Medina, NY; son of the late Samuel Cleo and Laura (Kohler) Alsbaugh.

Mr. Alsbaugh served in the United Stated Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

He was a short order cook for many years, and was Presbyterian by faith. He was an avid bowler for over twenty years, enjoyed Nascar, and was a huge football fan, including Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions.

Survivors include: sister, Barbara Davis of North Carolina; companion for over fourteen years, Harriet Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Michelle.

Funeral services will be held at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Charlene Lauver, minister of Trinity Chapel, officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 1:00 pm until the time of services.
