Samuel “Sam” Cathcart

Samuel “Sam” Cathcart, 76, of Fisher, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Penn Highlands, DuBois.

He was born on July 1, 1942, in Limestone Twp., the son of the late Ralph and Kathryn Gourley Cathcart.

Sam retired from Selker Brothers after 20 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandkids and other family.

He also enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, reading, watching westerns, watching birds and squirrels in his back yard, and driving around the country.

Sam is survived by three children, Chris Cathcart and his wife Melinda, Brenda Selker and her husband Marty, and Melissa Klingensmith and her husband Lonnie all of Fisher.

He is also survived by three sisters, Marlene Evans of Aliquippa, Ruth Anderson of Clarion and Bonnie Hendershot and her husband Charlie of Tylersburg.

Eight grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Brittany, Hunter, Jacob, Kathryn, Tyler, and Rylie.

Three great grandchildren Aubrie, Chase, and Aspen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Cathcart.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Harold O. Jacobson, Pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion presiding.

Interment will be held at Cedarview Memorial Park.
