Sandra L. Herzing

Sandra L. Herzing, age 61, Larissa Court, DuBois, PA died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her residence.

Born April 6, 1953 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Jr. Gamble and Frances (Engstrom) Gamble.

On December 8, 1973 in DuBois, PA, she married David A. Herzing. He survives.

She worked 40 years as a licensed practical nurse at both the DuBois Regional Medical Center and the Reynoldsville Medical Center.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Sandy enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved the Christmas season and opening her home to family and friends during the holidays. She also loved going to the beach and Disney World.

Sandy is survived by her children: David Herzing and his wife, Lindsey of DuBois, PA, Darin Herzing and his wife, Kim of Lancaster, PA, and Megan Webb and her husband, Bartley of State College, PA. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother (Yvonne Yanek and her husband, Bill of Reynoldsville, PA, Diana Case and her husband, Craig, Nancy Crytser and her husband, Vern, and Ralph Gamble and his wife, Shirley all of DuBois, PA) , and five grandchildren (Sadie, Nadia, and David Herzing and Darin and Charlotte Herzing).

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Schanely officiating.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Although flowers are appreciated, the family would prefer memorials be placed with Oncology/Hematology Associates at Penn Highlands DuBois, 100 Hospital Avenue,

DuBois, PA 15801.
